The Pentagon is not 'closed' on the weekend, although it may appear that way seen from the road. It operates on reduced weekend regular or rotating staffing schedule - with those folks who are critical for maintaining and support critical ongoing operations - say like the war in Iraq ( a 24/7 operation) - on duty and functioning.

True. But folks don't have to take marching orders from ANSWER or UFPJ or any other hierarchial formation. And didn't today.

Nothing prevents SDS or other networks from calling for a convergence during that weekend ( including Monday) to shut this down . The question really is, can anarchist and anti-authoritarian direct action advocates get their feces cohesive enough to self-organize, form affinity groups and clusters, identify and share resources, set up a convergence website for ongoing info exchange, and make this happen on a national scale? If not in March, when?
