To all the naysayers on this thread: you weren't there! Yesterday's action was fucking hot, and was significant in many respects. First of all, we succeeded in demonstrating that we will not play by the rules of either the state or the "official" antiwar movement. Secondly, we attracted MANY liberals to our march, once they recognized that our action was much more interesting than the boring ass speeches on the Mall. Lastly, we succeeded in breaking through three police lines, and maintained militant solidarity in the face of state violence.

Yes, of course we can do it better in the future, and I hope we do! This is just the beginning, people are sick to fucking death of this war and this fascist tyranny. As a DC area SDSer, I recognize that we need better communication with other chapters, and more coordination, and I intend to address that need. Give us a break though, SDS is a brand new organization, despite its history from the 60s. We'll get our shit together before the M17 march on the pentagon.
