Re: Re: Protestors lay seige to US Capitol, smash window at military recruiter

"the way the hardline anarchist actions cant be"? everything about what happened yesterday with the radical youth bloc was a hardline anarchist action, there were no leaders, and there were specific targets, yet hundreds if not thousands of people joined us. There were people with masks and people without masks, and yes some people DO need masks. Some people have iffy legal situations, some can be recognized by cops, and it is easier for some people to blend in after a direct action. Also, it wasn't the Smithsonian sds-ers that took the capitol, it was the "hardline anarchists" in sds and out of sds that did. The other sds group didnt get there till nearly half an hour after we were already there. However, having said that, I think that it was great that the other SDS group joined us and maybe next time people in that group wont be so willing to write-off or pre-judge actions by others that haven't yet taken place. So before you start talking about what is inclusive and not, maybe you should look at your own group (the smithsonian group), it's tactics and the way that it went about organizing. Hopefully next time there will be more respect shown by all sides.

Re: Re: Re: Protestors lay seige to US Capitol, smash window at military recruiter

Here is the deal with masks, from a piece I found on the internet that I really liked!

"Those in authority fear the mask for their power partly resides in identifying, stamping and cataloguing: in knowing who you are [...]
Masking up releases our commonality, enables us to act together, to shout as one to those who rule and divide us 'we are all fools, deviants, outcasts, clowns and criminals'. Today we shall give this resistance a face; for by putting on our masks we reveal our unity; and by raising our voices in the street together, we speak our anger at the facelessness of power."

Right, dude. The KKK said the same thing.

Fuck the KKK and also fuck you for saying what you said, I think that is really offensive and useless, I don't know any anarchist who would support the KKK or any racist group! Although I know liberals and "peace" activists who would. What else should I say about masking up, that it is a fashion statement because to me and anarchists I have talked to it is not, I do know it is both a was too act as one and to protect a bit if pepper sprayed or tear gassed. If the stupid dress up racists wear there moms bedsheets to hide or to act as one, well that is what they do, and I still hate them regardless. It like saying Hitler ate food too so I am going to compare you to Hitler or Kim Jong Ill breaths air too...see what I am getting at, just because someone bad does it as well doesn't make it bad.
