Re: Re: January 27 March on Washington Reports

If you can give me ONE incident in the last 50 years in which the militarist empire of the United States has given legitimate humanitarian aid to foreign nations...that HAS NOT RESULTED IN BLOODSHED, I will consider your opinions. However, the endless Middle Eastern and South East Asian military campaigns that you think are in the name of "freeing others from tyranny and oppression" are anything but. According to the Lancet Medical journal (a credible British medical journal), over 655,000 Iraqis have been killed in this war, many of whom were civilians. Many more have been wounded by American cluster bomb and have been imprisoned in torture camps. AND YOU CALL THIS "FREEDOM"?! The American government possesses more "weapons of mass destruction" than ANY OTHER NATION IN THE WORLD. We are THE ONLY NATION to have EVER used the atomic bomb on another nation in a time of war. Our federal government actively funds and supports international terrorists in numerous countries, especially in Latin America and the Middle East, and has been doing so for decades. The Central Intelligence Agency has trained and funded members of an organization once known as the School of Americas, whose graduates carry out assassinations and other acts of terror in Latin American and Caribbean countries...all in the name of "American interests." Let us not forget that this war was really about: territorial conquest and the acquisition of natural resources...oil. It was not just about oil, however, we have engaged in a War on Terrorism...a war against a tactic that the American Empire practices EVERY SINGLE DAY on foreign countries, and has in the past on political dissidents (anyone here ever heard of COINTELPRO or the Military Commissions Act?). It is an absurd war against any nation that could possibly be deemed to pose a threat against "American interests" (i.e. capitalist globalization and big business).
As to your militant pro-life claims, I will respond by stating that yes, I am pro-choice. I do not think that women should have to give birth when they do not want the baby or are not physically, emotionally, and financially ready to be a parent...especially when they receive NO support from the husband, when they are raped, or when they have conditions such as diabetes which could have fatal consequences if they were to give birth. Also, it seems peculiar to me how you pro-lifers declare your self to be the protectors of the "Culture of Life," yet many of you support capital punishment and war. I guess you don't care about those "innocent little unborn babies" when they are actually born or have grown up, do you?
