We KNOW that C02 levels have risen. We KNOW that increased CO2 levels can cause greenhouse warming - it's basic physics - and that higher CO2 levels correlate with higher global temperatures - using ice-core data and the like.

Referring to known facts doesn't violate Occam's Razor. Adding speculations about changes in the sun's behavior does.

Well, is carbon dioxide increase a cause or effect of warming?

How is our carbon dioxide getting to Mars? You do know that Mars is heating too don't you? So we are creating a solar problem by our CO2.

Is cell phone use causing the Earth's magnetic field to decay?
