Re: Re: Ronnie White, Accused of Killing Cop, Lynched in PG County Jail

Well, I for one, don't think it is a racial issue. And, I take GREAT offense to your use of the term "Lynched" to refer to a scumbag who engaged in a life of criminal activity, including murder!! I am from Alabama, a place where my father, grandfather, brothers and cousins lived with the fear of being LYNCHED...simply for being a Black man. Mr. White was a victim of a very simple principle: you reap what you sow.

I am very sorry for his mother's loss; however, did she express outrage for his victims -- and there were many of them. Cpl Findley was the latest, but not by any means the last. In his 19 years on the earth, Mr. White had ammassed a criminal record dating back several years. He callously and deliberately took another life. Where is the sorrow for this policeman and his family?

I feel no sorrow for Mr. White. My sorrow is for his victims, including his mother who must now bury a son.

Re: Re: Re: Ronnie White, Accused of Killing Cop, Lynched in PG County Jail

I posted almost the same thing yesterday only to see my comment removed this morning.
Good luck keeping your views on this site.

People are calling this a lynching.
But if it had happened anywhere else, they would celebrate it as vigilante justice.

And I agree, this is not a racial issue.
No one even knows the race of officer who killed Mr. White.
If anything, perhaps Mr. White is the racist one for killing Cpl. Findley.

Re: Re: Re: Ronnie White, Accused of Killing Cop, Lynched in PG County Jail

I don't believe that Mr. White deliberately killed Findley. I bet Findley tried to pull him from the vehicle, or grab the wheel, etc. and got ran over/dragged. Furthermore, perhaps Findley reaped what he sowed. He very well may have been your typical pig cop

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ronnie White, Accused of Killing Cop, Lynched in PG County Jail

reports are that the officer's vehicle was rammed by white. as the officer exited his vehicle he was run down, twice.

those persons speaking on lynching are incorrect. lynching is defined as:

verb: To execute without due process of law, especially to hang, as by a mob.
[Short for lynch law.]

noun: putting a person to death by mob action without due process of law

therefore, he was lynched.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ronnie White, Accused of Killing Cop, Lynched in PG County Jail

Why would you make that bet, when no news sources are saying anything like that?

From the AP:
"White, 19, was arrested early Saturday on charges of ramming a stolen pickup truck into police Cpl. Richard Findley. Findley had gotten out of his police cruiser Friday while trying to conduct a traffic stop on the truck. White allegedly struck him and dragged him for a short distance in the community of Laurel."

The news reports don't mean much concerning the details. They report whatever the police report says. I can't prove my assertion, but you and the AP can't disprove it either. I would believe Mr. Whites co-defendant if he told his side of the story, before i believe the police..... anyday!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ronnie White, Accused of Killing Cop, Lynched in PG County Jail

Well lets see... You see a policeman pull his cruiser into your path, get out of it, order you to stop. Anything other than compliance with that order is a deliberate act. When Mr. White pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, it was a deliberate act. Perhaps it was not his intent to KILL him, but he was by no means being a law-abiding citizen. He was a crimminal who was engaging in crimminal activity.

I did not know Cpl. Findley. I do not know if he was a bully with a badge or a man of valor. But what I do know is that I have no desire to live in a world where there are no police. In an ideal world, we would not need them. However, our reality is that we have a world full of Ronnie Whites who think the rules do not apply to them. As a result, we have police officers who provide that "check and balance" to ensure the safety of those of us who do play by the rules.

Cpl Findley, whether a "typical pig cop" or a man of honor, deserves the benefit of the doubt. I, for one, give him that. I believe he was simply doing his job...just as Mr. White was doing his job of being a crimminal.
