I think the earlier anonymous poster rightly called you out on your absolutely inane rhetoric. There's not much room for spinning this as "not your intention." What you said, and the equating included in it, was pretty clear.

Genocide is genocide. Slavery is slavery. The holocaust was the holocaust. And so on. This, this was desecrating a memorial. You can vilify the bad behavior without resorting to trivializing great atrocities through the comparison.
