Fascism in the sense of Storm Troops or Ku Klux Klan power is not likely in this country. Nor is military dictatorship in the sense of Pinochet. But the constant deification of the police by TV, leading to such things as the acquittal of the four cops in New York in the Diallo Case, makes a police state a real possibility.
