The abacus email list is a closed list for the rare occasions that the DC IMC has to discuss contract-signing issues, legal issues, and personal conflict issues.

Although most DC IMC discussion should be open to anyone who is interested, it is important that discussion of legal issues and other items that need to remain confidential is restricted to people who are actually participating in the DC IMC.

Therefore, we propose that the following guidelines be in place for the abacus list:

To join the list, you must be a co-op member, and you must have been involved with the DC IMC co-op for at least one month (i.e, taking responsibility for co-op volunteer tasks during that time).

To remain on the list, you must be actively participating in DC IMC decision-making process, and you must be taking responsibility for co-op volunteer tasks. If you have not actively participated in the DC IMC for three months, you will be unsubscribed from the abacus list (you will be informed before this happens).

People who are on the abacus list are expected to maintain the confidentiality of the list. The members of the list can consense to remove someone from the list if they feel that the person has breached that confidentiality.

The administrator of the abacus list will be responsible for keeping track of who is on the list, and may ask for periodic roll calls when necessary.

La Póliza de Socios del Listado de Abacus

El listado de abacus es un listado cerrado para las ocasiones raras en que el CMI-DC tiene que hablar de asuntos de firma de contrato, asuntos legales, y asuntos de conflicto personal.

Aunque la mayoría de las discusiones del CMI-DC deben estar abierto a qualquiera que se interesa, es importante que la dicusión de asuntos legales y otros puntos que necesitan ser confidenciales sea limitada a las personas que realmente están participando en el CMI-DC.

Por lo tanto, proponemos que se establezcan las directivas siguientes para el listado de abacus:

Para hacerse socio del listado, tiene que ser socio de la cooperativa, y tiene que haber sido activo en la cooperativa del CMI-DC por al menos un mes (es decir, tomando responsibilidad por tareas voluntarias de la cooperativa por ése período).

Para seguir en el listado, tiene que estar participando activamente en el proceso de la toma de decisions en el CMI-DC, y tiene que estar responsible por tareas volutarias de la cooperativa. Si no ha participado activamente en el CMI-DC por 3 meses, estará bajado del listado de abacus (estará avisado antes de que pase esto).

Se supone que las personas que son socios del listado de abacus mantengan en confianza el listado. Los socios del listado pueden consentir en bajar una persona del listado si piensan que la persona ha abusado esa confianza.

El administrador del listado de abacus será responsable de estar al tanto de quién está en el listado, y puede pasar lista cuando sea necesario.
