Pictures, Sort Of

Until decent media surfaces...
These are pretty weak, but they'll do for now. If anyone can reach the photographer from the Spark who was their, please ask him to publish his photos!

In the center, you can almost see a group of people camped out in the intersection.

A better shot of the delegate bus being blocked, along with some benign police presence.

Re: Pictures, Sort Of

These photos really downplay how many people showed up. I was with one of the first groups to arrive and I'll admit that we had low numbers in the beggining, however I'd say that at least 100, if not more, anarchist/activists showed up during the day.

I'm not sure whether or not you are talking about the guy from "lawless filmz" who showed up. I'm going to call him tomorrow and ask him to publish his stuff. There were plenty of press members there (mostly independent), so we should be recieving much more media soon.

Re: Re: Pictures, Sort Of

Definitely - these are the only pictures I got, though. I'd put it between 50 and 100, depending on the time.

I was talking about the guy from the Washington Spark, actually, but I know there were others...

Which action was this & when?

Re: Re: Pictures, Sort Of

Adopt an Intersection, Sunday morning. We're waiting for better media; DC Indymedia isn't working too well. Check here:

Also, some pictures are trickling into the media gallery.

Re: Pictures, Sort Of

I think some people should show up at your house at 11131 Watermans Dr in Reston, VA at around 4:30 in the morning to protest!!

Re: Re: Pictures, Sort Of

I thought trolls made it a point to be up-to-date with their information, so as not to mislead others. Please delete this anyway.

Re: Pictures, Sort Of

If you'd like to contact Washington Spark photographers, I know they have an online photo presence at flickr: www.flickr.com/groups/washingtonspark/
and their website is....
www.washingtonspark.org/

I'm not sure if this website is the best way to reach Spark volunteers. Maybe (hopefully) this has changed, but last time I checked the relationship between it and the newspaper was less-than-cordial.
