The Antiwar Movement must start thinking long-term, and of actually trying to pressure the Government to take action to alter failing US Foreign Policy, and prevent the impending attacks upon Lebanon, Syria, and Iran.

How about a permanent Peace Camp, and an occupation of the routes politicos take to get into the Capitol?

Instead of romanticizing the 60's, why not create our own history and period of social unrest and change? These unprecedented times DEMAND unprecedented actions.

Israel and the US are planning to USE NUCLEAR WEAPONS against Iran, which has done nothing to justify military action. It doesn't get more serious than that.

How about regular meetings and status reports with and from politicians and congresspeople? After all, if they aren't consulting the people, then on whose behalf can they possibly be acting?

How about regular meetings with members of the press? It's not impossible, but it is if you don't make the effort, and create the contacts. There are legions of reporters who DO agree with you, especially right now, and will jump at the chance to give an insiders view, if we actually pull such a thing off.
