Something you idiots don't seem to understand is that USDA inspectors are present at EVERY slaughterhouse across the nation. There is a mobile slaughterhouse where I live, the guy travels around the southern half of the state and butchers cattle and pigs for the ranchers who own them. He butchers maybe 3 animals a day tops, and even this small scale operation requires the presence of a USDA inspector to ensure the health standards are met before slaughter and during processing. He can't do anything until the inspector shows up.

The point is, you have one incident where some dumbasses thought it would be OK to let sick cows go to slaughter. They were caught and dealt with. The meat was recalled. Things are returning to normal. You fools think the entire processing industry is like these assholes, cutting corners and allowing sick animals to be processed. It's not.

And there a literaly HUNDREDS of bovine diseases that can cause them to become "downers," that is sick and unale to stand. Mad cow is created when cows eat feed products that are made from other cows, sort of a cow cannibal. Keep these products from reaching the bovine food supply and you will stop the disease before it starts.

And stop trying to scare everyone into a vegan existence. If human beings were meant to be vegans we wouldn't have the teeth of an omnivore. We're not ruminants. We're apes. Apes with guns!!
