Protesters held the street for quite some time. They appeared to have marched to another location after about an hour.

This hard blockade of chained SCHOOL DESKS(courtesy of SDS) was literally the iron core of the shutdown of Connecticut Ave and K sts on the 5th anniversary of the war.

Well for a while, students were chained to the desks. After the police basically gave up and completely redirected traffic, the students unlocked and then locked the desks together so the cops had to remove the desks anyway.
