Derrick Jensen is a ground-breaking and critically-acclaimed author
speaking on civilization, violence, and resistance to ecological collapse.
He is the author of A Language Older Than Words; Listening to the Land;
The Culture of Make Believe; Endgame; and many other titles. Check out
www.derrickjensen.org for more information.

Marie Mason of Cincinatti, Ohio is a long time environmental and social
justice activist and loving mother of two. On March 10th, she was arrested
by FBI, Homeland Security and local police on charges related to two Earth
Liberation Front actions that occured in Michigan, in 1999 and 2000.

Marie's case is one of the latest developments in what many have dubbed
the "Green Scare", a recent wave of government repression aimed at
disrupting and discrediting grassroots environmental activism and
criminalizing dissent. For more information, go to www.ecoprisoners.org or

Please explain how you are going to affect ecological change, I sure would like to have that explained to me. Your violent radicals are being arrested and prosecuted. Mcdavid just got 20 years, Marie will probably get at least 10, and their sacrifice has meant absolutely nothing.

Can Indymedia please remove this last "BS Checker" post?

Re: Re: Solidarity is a Weapon: Derrick Jensen Event in D.C.!

Ok so...he wants to get rid of companies, I am pretty sure he never said "kill all humans" in which case he is not violent. Violence is something between living things not inanimate objects or concepts. Oh and groping women and slashing tires (as the Gathering Of Eagles/Free Republic did last year in september and march at anti war marches) is way more thuggish and violent then someone just saying that civilization should collapse and we should move towards a more natural society where we are more in touch with nature and our fellow living things.

I was talking with someone on the bus today, an old guy about 55 and he said we should be more in touch with nature and stop destroying each other and all that which is around us, I guess he must be a crazy violent radical, in fact why the heck don't you just call everyone who loves life and animals and nature a violent radical, and you might be the only one left!
