A DC area Latino activist speaks out on the mammoth ICE raid on the Howard electrical parts factory in Missisippi. He is especially bothered by the fact that a union worker has been reported by a number of sources to have triggered the raid by snitching to ICE about immigrant workers.

Federal agents from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, or ICE, descended onto the Howard Industries factory early on Monday. They separated all Latino workers from their white and black co-workers, arresting nearly 600 people, in a massive immigration raid on an electrical equipment factory in Laurel, Mississippi.

The raid is now being described as the largest in US history, topping the May raid on a meat-processing plant in Postville, Iowa.

After much police violence this week-and a standoff with cops blocking over 5,000 marches, veterans (including IVAW no doubt) have finally cracked Denver's armored police power and forced the authorities to meet a demand-that a rep of the Obama campaign meet with them
