Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. INC exploiding people

grass roots INC is a scam
If you want to work in a sweet shop type of environment, only outdoors, under a baking sun and doing something that in "theory" is meaningful, such as getting Barack Obama elected (I write
"in theory" because the main goal of this "grassroots" campaign is to take money from people of which 70% goes towards paying your own salary and 30% to God only knows what), your place to work is Grass Roots Campaigns in Dupont Circle.
If you want to really help Barak Obama send money to his website....do it directly and ignore these poor blue shirted students because they are being exploited by a company that does not care about the issues and only cares about teaching them catchy little phrases to take money from unsuspecting people and make it seem meaningful.

Sweatshop. Exploiting. Come on, you're posting something on what is supposed to a news board, can you at least try to spell stuff right?

Re: Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. INC exploiding people

I think he meant exploding, cause they recruit the faithful like so many suicide bombers.
This place does sound shady. I've "interviewed" with them this past week (out of desperation). Suffice it to say it was less interview than orientation. 30 minutes and some softball questions later I was given a W4, rules and a "standard presentation" to memorize. It became very clear that they'll take anyone with a pulse who can walk. I personally HATE spam and telephone sales pitches and now I'm going to be asked to go door-to-door canvassing. They're paying a fraction above minimum if you don't hit the rather unrealistic donation quota, which is set at 80% of the weekly average or $100 in a day. It will be difficult but I'm going to ride it out with the blue-shirted students and see how long I last there.

I worked there. Quit after a week. Has made me a skeptical pessimist about the DNC, that they would deal with this deceptive operation. What a scam! This is siphoning money that should be going to the actual cause not to this pimp operation.
