“As a banker, I also welcome the fact that the 'cap-and-trade' system is becoming the dominant methodology for [carbon dioxide] control.”
-Simon Linnett, Executive Vice Chairman of Rothschild Bank.
Can the looming environmental catastrophe be solved by environmentalists working side by side with Wall Street Bankers? Such a question doesn’t deserve a serious answer. The Democrats, however, are attempting to address the issue of global warming by developing a “partnership” between those who love the earth, and those who love only profits.

Yes we all hate those dreadful and awful solicitations and solitciators. But I wanted to share a petition I found on petitiononline.com. Its entitled, "Israeli settlements are a main obstacle to peace." The petition carries a long summary on settlements in terms of how they have caused destruction to Palestinian families through Israeli home demolitions, olive orchards destruction, the near completation of the illegal Apartheid-Speration wall running deep into the West Bank and also reminds the reader or anyone interested how the settlements are illegal under International Law. It was originally written in 2006 and originally addressed to President Bush and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. So far thirty one people have signed the petition. Anyone interested please pass this on to your colleagues, friends and relatives. The author wishes to remain anonymous.

"Take a look at the roadmap of Honduras, above.
In the lower center is the capital city of Tegucigalpa, with only four routes connecting it to the rest of the country and the continent.
Narco News can confirm, together with reports in other media, that at least three of those four routes - the three most important - have been successfully shut down by peaceful occupations by a citizenry opposed to the coup d'etat regime, as well as vital arteries in the country's northern coastal regions.
The most important - which links Tegucigalpa to the second largest city, San Pedro Sula to the Northwest - is blocked five kilometers outside of the capital, in the town of El Durazno, reports the French Press Agency (AFP):
"There are also blockades in the Southern Highway, between Juiticalpa and Limones (150 kilometer east of the Capital), between Santa Rosa de Copán and the borders of Guatemala and El Salvador (450 kilometers to the Northeast and in Choloma, in the highway to Puerto Cortés (250 kilometers to the north)..."

The family of Honduran public prosecutor Jari Dixon Herrera were attacked by police on Tuesday shortly after he made statements to CNN en Español and other international media in Washington denouncing the recent military coup in Honduras. Dixon's mother’s house, located in the town of Talanga, was first shot at repeatedly by police agents with automatic weapons. The agents then broke the door of the house down and entered the residence, beat Dixon’s mother and arrested and took away his brother.
Jari Dixon is currently in Washington, DC, as part of a delegation of Hondurans that has been meeting with members of Congress, representatives of the World Bank, the State Department and human rights organizations to discuss the rights abuses committed by the Honduran de facto authorities.
