Omali Yeshitela, leader of the Uhuru Movement and Chair of the Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations is traveling with a delegation to Freetown, Sierra Leone November 13. Yeshitela will be an observer and speaker at the historic launch of the African People’s Socialist Party in West Africa.

There are those who believe that anarchists should abandon direct action and the big summit battles and limit ourselves to "base-building" activities. Some have gone so far as to charge that those of us who fight are "battle junkies,"in it for the adrenaline and little better than mercenaries who keep going back to Iraq.

WASHINGTON, DC—An anti-war march and rally at the White House organized by a coalition of African American groups and supporters took place at the same time a White supremacist conference with David Duke as their keynote speaker was being held at a hotel blocks away. Ironically, both were held with black people in attendance!

Global trade fell 30 percent three years after the crash. The US gross domestic product shriveled 40 percent. In 1932, every fourth American was withiout a job. In Germany, industry only produced half of what was produced three years before.

The United States is moving backwards...fast. State budget cuts are decimating essential health and social services; public education is being destroyed; the social safety net is in tatters. To make matters worse, all of this is occurring when the loss of jobs stands at a twenty-six year high with no end in sight.

It's been another hard weekend for US troops in America's many wars:

On September 24th some of the most militant politicized street protests the States have seen in nearly a decade countered the G20 summit in Pittsburgh. Anarchist Queers and Trannies were on the frontlines of this struggle; bringing the numbers, the flare, and the wrecking crews. Radical Queers fought police and did everything they could, with what they had, not to back down. A days worth of tear gas, rubber bullet attacks, and fending off straight-idiot-liberals, set the tone for what would be a night of ravenous Queer revenge. A single march of 200+ Queers, Trannies, Womyn, POC, and some allies bashed the fuck back; causing the most property destruction contained to a single neighborhood in Pittsburgh during the protests. So other Anarchists, why the fuck are you ignoring us?

Alexander says the most efficient means to deal with California’s over crowded prisons would require state lawmakers abolishing the Three-Strikes Law and remanding more than 30,000 non-violent offenders to their original courts for re-sentencing; however, “that will not likely occur because a majority of the state’s lawmakers are more concerned with protecting and preserving the prison industrial complex rather than dealing with this serious threat to human health and public safety.
